The focus is on the key interior decisions that matter most, helping set clear direction for your build or renovation.
Think of it as a guided working day rather than a formal design package.

How does designer for a day differ from a full design scope?
Our full interior design service includes comprehensive selections and documentation of all the design elements that make up the interiors of a space, right down to detailed elements such as cornices, skirting profiles, door handles, hinges and a doorstop ensuring everything is fully resolved and build ready.
This process, depending on the size and complexity of your project can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 16 months.
Designer for a Day offers a lighter-touch alternative, best suited to projects where:
You value expert guidance without the need full documentation
Your builder is experienced and collaborative
You’re comfortable making some decisions yourself
You have never worked with a designer before and want to dip your toe in the water.
Is Designer for a Day suitable for new builds?
Yes — particularly where plans are established and you’re seeking guidance on selections, layout refinement or design direction rather than full documentation.
Will I receive drawings or schedules?
This service focuses on advice and direction rather than formal documentation. Any notes or marked-up guidance provided will be agreed to in advance.
Can this replace a full interior design service?
It can be an excellent alternative for some projects, but for highly detailed, complex or compliance-heavy builds, a full design scope is recommended and more appropriate.
Can I upgrade to a full design service scope later?
Absolutely. Many clients start with Designer for a Day and later transition into a more comprehensive design service if required.
